Having been in Gibraltar at the Rugby Sevens all weekend I missed it, although Alistair was at Glasto.

I watched a fair bit last night.

    War on Drugs- superb
Clem Burke- INCREDIBLE- the Peart of Punk.
Slash- fantastic, a GOAT- but I do wish he'd sort his tone out at times.

    Elton to be watched tonight.

QOTSA win the guitar GAS award - never seen so many 12 strings !!!!!
I’m gonna give it to Elton’s guitar man, whoever he was. So many lush custom paint jobs.
Loved the Farewell Yellow Brick Tour Les Paul !

Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

The War on Drugs were easily the highlight for me…..anyone find out why Adam Granduciel  kicked his Swart amp out of its stack at the end of “Under Pressure”?…..looked more like frustration than an act of pure old style Rock’n Roll

Don't know but after being fairly chilled, for the last two songs he really upped his energy and aggression, shouting the band introductions and giving it all for Under The Pressure, it was a mesmerizing performance. Perhaps he had so much adrenaline he just lashed out. What a set.

Is Max Richter's set available anywhere? Can't find it on BBC.
The BBC have a single brief interview with Max and Tilda Swinton. A screen grab of the audience reveals why there's no video on YouTube; there's not an iPhone in sight, everyone's listening to the music. Come on BBC, it's over to you...

nb. Spotted a single camera (on a tripod!) in lower right corner.

Max's set inspired one audience member...

QOTSA won it for me, tight as f*** and they even had some new songs. There's lot's of other good stuff if you dig deep.

That QOTSA set was right up there with one of the best ever at Glastonbury. Best band in the world right now.
Absolutely, and they should have been headlining on the main stage!

    Just been watching Caroline Polachek

What an incredible singer and a great performer. It's weird she isn't more famous.
She's hiding in plain sight. I've seen some great interviews where she goes into her song writing process, and as you say an incredible singer with tremendous range and control.

Just watched Lewis Capaldis set (after seeing the news about him having to cancel gigs)- and wow - his audience were amazing. I hadnt realised he had bad Tourettes and how that would affect him. Fair play to him and his audience, its a bit dusty in here!
    Karma......

Me and missus munckee had some sort of allergies after watching it last night.  If he never performs again it will be a tragic irony that his last song was at his dream concert struggling to sing about how he was getting used to being someone you loved.

I've been multiple times, never paid for a ticket, never dropped litter.
My favourite act I've seen there was Elvis Costello solo for an hour or so then  The Attractions came on for a lot more.

He got really pissed at the end of the Madrid gig I was at a few weeks ago about his guitar cord and sore at his sound guy. I hope he is ok.

    Where it all started ...

Just caught up with Elton on the Pyramid stage and I think I prefer the old version of him with less reverb and more high notes.

Foo Fighters tour announcement sure looks like it’s designed to end at Glastonbury24.
    [edit] Or Download24.
    I’m [not]  calling it now.
Not that I’m ever going to go, stadium gigs are my limit (and too big).

They said they would be back next year at the end of their set.
You could read that as "in England" or "At Glastonbury"

    Nova Twins were great.

Some seriously evil messed up bass and guitar tones via massive pedalboards.

Foos would be a decent choice for headliners.

I’m not a fan, but they have enough of a wider appeal and Grohl leaves it all on the stage.

I'm just watching the War On Drugs at this minute - a band I have never heard before. Yeah - I dig it - big anthemic choruses played on a massive stage in the magic hour at Glastonbury but let's be brutally honest here -

it's basically Survivor with a massive pedalboard?
    ...she's got Dickie Davies eyes...

Check out their earlier stuff, Kurt Vile used to be a band member.

So, I hadn’t managed to see Elton before tonight due to working at Gibraltar 7s.

I think it’s safe to say he just settled the debate on the greatest Glastonbury performance of all time.

Simply career defining - but within a definitive career.

    .Fucking hell!!
