Hey,

Just curious as to what are folks dream guitars? I always think of the guitars I’d buy if I won the lotto! And I wondered what others would buy if money wasn’t an issue!

I played a Novo Serius J last year and was blown away with how amazing it sounded and played. Almost kicked my vintage GAS, almost!

I dream about owning a vintage ES-335. Gotta be red with block inlays.

Well I suppose it would have to be a birth year Les Paul. A 59 Junior or Special would do.

I’m fortunate enough to own the guitar of my dreams, bought my 1962 335 about three years ago. Can’t think of any other guitar I would trade it for.
Although I’m often looking at ‘60’s SG’s, never had the chance to try one though.
I would also like to try out an early ‘60’s Strat if I ever get the chance.

Nothing built before the millenium covers most of what I wouldn't buy. What I would buy is somewhat harder to find/choose!

I'm not sure there's a guitar I want more than my pink paisley Telecaster right now.

I have the regular one, but my dream guitar is this very limited edition of the Vigier Shawn Lane.

One of my dream guitars! Alongside many others including a Martin om42, Gretsch Penguin and on and on the list goes!

I’m currently saving for a Jason Isbell Telecaster! I keep missing out on the second hand ones!

Simple hero worship from me, mostly:

    - ‘69-72 Fender Competition Mustang, burgundy finish & matching headstock (I’d ‘settle’ for unmatched!)
    - ‘78-83 Gibson Les Paul Custom silverburst
    - ‘59 Gibson ES-330, short-neck era
    - ‘83 Gibson Korina Flying V

My dream guitar is typically 20% more expensive than whatever I happen to be looking at.

Already own 2 Telecasters that are pretty much the epitome of what I think the electric guitar should be, but if I was going to buy another one it would probably be getting Feline or a similar luthier to build me a Les Paul special with a 25" or 25.5" scale length and a P90/HB pickup combination.

Also, though I'm nowhere near good enough at the acoustic guitar to justify it, a really nice acoustic guitar would be lovely

Some of these are more achievable/likely than others:

2007 Gibson Les Paul Classic Custom
1990s Gibson Les Paul Classic Birdseye
    A nice R9
A korina V, either Gibson or Banker
An Eggle Macon custom order of some sort - falling leaf inlays, some kind of green colour
A full fat ESP Custom Shop Ninja

I was lucky enough to recently purchase a 1979 Ibanez Iceman IC210. Birth year, about as mint as one could expect, all original, iconic shape, and totally unique. Very much my dream guitar.

    Rather boring and predictably:

Electric - 1960 Gibson Les Paul Standard
    Acoustic - Pre-war "bone"

    Or more realistically

Electric - Gil Yaron burst replica
    Acoustic - Yamaha LL56

I own 5 really nice electrics and I've toyed with getting rid and going vintage but for me reissues etc are nearly there.

Maybe an exotic wood lowden but I have 3 nice acoustics.

Whilst being old isn't great I do have some nice guitars.
