Shower and shave in the morning or at night?

I find that not showering or bathing or shaving saves me a lot of money in energy usage, I can then spend this money on things like the weekly meal or emergencies such as needing to replace my old rag bandage shoes or running out of meth.

I work nightshift, so there really isn't a normal "morning" or "night" for me.  I shower daily, but whenever is most suitable and whether I've been doing a particularly sweaty job at work.  I haven't had a proper clean shave since Christmas and New Year when I had to look nice and smooth.  I just use my hair clippers without the guard to shave off the weekly (or more) beardy growth when it gets too annoying.  I don't work in a customer facing job and the workplace is full of some of the strangest and roughest looking people imaginable, so I don't look out of place and wouldn't care anyway.  I used to work in a public facing role where I had to be clean shaven all the time.  I used to use a good electric shaver then because I was only going over one day's growth of stubble each time and it was a lot less of a chore than wet shaving.

Spike Milligan's war biography series refers to the four esses. Shit, shower, shave, shampoo. (Always listed in that order, even though it makes little sense as the actual sequence.)

Morning for both, unless I've been working on something filthy when I have a shower when I get back home.

I've shaved every day barring illness because if I didn't I'd have a horrific ginger beard (I'm otherwise not orange of hair).

One does not have to wait for the turtles head to touch cloth, to eject a turd. I grind one out like clock work each morning prior to a shower. The mass is often surprising given the apparent lack of urgency.
