the very LAST thing I need is another delay pedal, especially one that

a) is expensive

b) has no tap tempo

c) or expression pedal control

...but MY GOSH does it sound good. The modulated Delay is a thing of beauty.

This is also on my gas list. One day I'll get another randys revenge which was awesome too. I love Fairfield gear, I've owned all of them minus the maude and my only gripe was the jack placement on the original barbershop which really annoyed me! :P

It is dark, delay is not that long (compare to Timeline and the Panther Cub).  But the sound is lovely, and different to both the Timeline and Panther Cub.  That is the point of the delay for me, something different.

The modulation on full is very wacky and can be real nice, if that is your thing.  I love the built in compressor in it too.  The expression jack is also a nice touch.

All in all, a very specific delay pedal, it is not as middle of the road as the Timeline but it can do things that the Timeline cannot, which is a bonus.

Be sure to try it with Expression pedal too, I don't have one but wish I did.

I wonder why the depth and rate of modulation are preset? I guess it helps declutter the pedal a bit.

Modulation has a 0, 1, 2 setting, I asked the builder how many mA the pedal draws and he replied with this.

"The signal path is all analogue, there is a digital chip used to generate the random voltage necessary for the modulation. It draws no more than 60mA."

So it would seem it is not a preset?
