He has 40 hostages and it's just emerged he is facing 40 charges for sexual assault.  The man is clearly insatiable.

In reality the proper mujahedeen must be repeatedly facepalming themselves about this eegit.

As a lone gunman I don't think you necessarily need a suicide vest (or the threat of one) to subdue 40 people.  You just pick one hostage, preferably a young kid etc. and put a gun to their head and say if anybody tries anything you'll shoot them.  It's one thing for me to think "Fuck this, I'll have a go and risk getting shot!" compared to being responsible for someone else's (especially a kid's) life (or death).

I hope to god there isn't a link between these two, not that I'm blaming the media at all, but the Aussie police commisioner did ask them not to share his name I think 

Sky's Sam Kiley said police would have acted if they thought the hostages were in mortal danger. This has happened in the same hour that the suspect was named by the media.

Edit: The police did give the name to the media, so it seems

Think I'd also argue that killing 100 of "theirs" for each one of "ours" is not really the behaviour of a civilised state. You know, rule of law and all that.

Incidently, who is it we should be killing in revenge for our dead? 

EDIT: idle musings, I wonder how many of "them" "we" killed when "we" invaded Iraq, Afghanistan, bombed the shit out of LIbya, fostered a civil war in Syria and so on. Hope they don't implement a 100:1 rule for each of "them" "we" killed, cos there may not be enough of "us" to go round.

Israel is not seen as weak.
Though we agree on one point, we have no right to interfere in any of the mentioned , many of which I have worked in , and others including Yemen, Saudi, and more than a dozen African countries.

There is far worse happening in places like Zimbabwe, but they have no oil do they...

I disagree completely, civilisation is our strongest point. It beats the barbarian every single time. Often we do not act civilised and that's when we are weak.

And Isreal is weak, oh so very weak. It just happens they are giving real good blowjobs to the biggest bully in the playground so no one else can touch them. They just better hope that bully never gets his head kicked in, that'll be fun to watch.
