Gilmour's 'classic' Strat neck pick-up solo on 'Another Brick in the Wall' was played on the neck pick-up of a Les Paul - albeit a '50s Gold Top with P90s.
A Strat with a bridge humbucker doesn't 'really' cover Les Paul territory.
So for me, it's probably a 'no' - though I'd agree a Strat fits into a wider variety of musical situations more easily.
So I won't.
I'd be more inclined to pass on your message if she did look like Carmen Electra.
Are we talking about either guitar in their 'natural' form?
Modern LP's have coil splits but they still don't really sound Stratty.
The EC Strat etc with the mid boost actually does come close to sounding more like an LP.
Does that make the Mondeo obsolete?
