Never have I ever ... [owned]

I never owned a:

- Les Paul (Gibson, copy or otherwise)
- Telecaster (as above)

I've been tempted and gotten very close, but never gotten to the point of pulling the trigger.

Just a random idle thought in my head - anyone in a similar boat?

Yeah I've never owned a LP in the classic carved top, twin bucker, single cut sense.
Do have a lovely DC Jr mind you...

Never had an LP either, I don't like the look of the feel of them. (Don't judge me!).

You definitely need a tele though. Probably an LP too if you like them.

I've pretty much owned everything strat shaped at some point though (or at least a version of it...)

I can't imagine anyone not owning a strat at some point though, given they're the defacto "start guitars".

Utter madness but I have never owned a strat. I didn't buy one as a starter guitar because everyone does that! ;)

Sounds like you're a single coil man. It has to be a Telecaster for you.

Any Fender with a vintage 7.25" radius fretboard. In fact, come to think about it, never played or owned.

Likewise with the Les Paul - I've always been put off by the weight (and thought SGs look better).

I've never owned a decent acoustic or bass (i.e one that cost more than £100). Looking to change that after I get some new valves for my AC30.

I've never owned a Telecaster. And the only Strat I've owned was a hateful Bullet Strat was an unplayable heap of shit.

Never owning a Les Paul is just about understandable. Never owning a Tele is unforgiveable!

I'm the same as the OP, never owned a Tele or a Lester. I've never owned a Mesa either.
I would love to change my username, but I fully understand the T&C's (it was an old band nickname). So please feel free to call me Dave.
