Everybody needs a Telecaster!

I have never owned a 'proper' Les Paul (although my first decent guitar was a Hondo copy of one). I do have a DeArmond M75T and a Gretsch G5235 which are single-cut archtop solids.

Ooh god this is a hard question I had 20 years of gas to contend with!
I have never owned an Explorer or a flying v, that is literally it!

Amps is a different story, I have only ever owned a marshall blues breaker, hiwatt dr103, a HH performer (sole amp for 15 years) and now the Scottish made carlton combo.
Quite pathetic really !

Although, all that said if I do get a bit of cash I am sorely tempted to either get PGK or maybe even @GSPBasses to do me a Les Paul 'Sr' you know, one of those full fat Les Pauls with the single cut & carved top & binding & all but with just a bridge humbucker, compensated stop tailpiece & massive neck. Get @lamf68 to paint it up like Becks 'Blow by Blow' Oxblood Les Paul. Boom.

Must confess that I'm at a point where other than Strats & 335's I don't really use neck pickups...

As a new player, I have only ever owned a cheap strat (Burswood), and my Sigma 000 Acoustic. Will own an Epi LP very soon.

I've had a proper tele, and a couple of variations on the theme. I've had loads of LP types, but never a 'real' one. I don't actually like the real ones to play, strangely..
Got a real SG, and have had a copy, before. I like SG's. Can't stand strats.

No shred-style guitars either.  

Fender, Gibson, PRS and Epiphone are my brands of choice generally though.

There's a lot of things I havent had but if we are doing wtf ones...

I've never owned a Telecaster.

What makes it really sad is that in the 80's I borrowed one for the best part of a year (natural rosewood 76 black pickguard-gorgeous). I've also jammed in a rehearsal room with a AVRI52 for abot a year. And been in a jam band since 2007 where we swapped instruments and in that time one guy had a 72ri thinline blacktop HH and a Highway1, all maple neck all nice.

Never got around to owning one.

Certainly is in my case.  In the last 35 years I've owned approximately 100 guitars and maybe 15 amps.
