Did some housekeeping on some threads regarding Richards Guitars. Where the thread was predominantly getting personal, it's been exiled.

There will probably be more of an explanation on this tomorrow. Not tonight, though, because my eyes are bleeding...

He has received warnings in the past for unnecessary comments and actions against another member, and this time he chose to LOL comments made by this member regarding the death of his father. 

No amusing quips this time folks - it's a distasteful way of expressing your dislike for another member and there's no humour in it at all.

Ariel Posen thread has been disappeared. We understand that it was intended to be amusing, but there was too much in there which went over the line into "insulting" for it to be practical to edit them out and have a relaxing Sunday, so...buh-bye now.

Timmysoft is taking a break at his own request - apparently he thinks it's possible to achieve things in the time we otherwise spend on here.

I'm skeptical, but a failed experiment is still a result.

It's not a warning/cooler/ban type ban, but a ban type ban.

He made a request to have his account deleted in the early hours of the morning, and because the Modmin team weren't on 24/7 emergency account-deletion watch he then proceeded to remove pretty much every bit of content from every classifieds post he's ever made. 

It took us quite a while to find a powerful enough torch to go that deep into the change log to dig out every single change - and there's some pretty scary changes down there (when you lot change your mind, you really change your mind!) 

We have investigated the possibility of an early-warning-24/7-get us out of bed type device for such requests, but it seems vanilla only supports an early 90's BT pager...

^ You don't often get two Modmins posting about the same action - but it just goes to show how much time it took up and how flippin' annoying mass-content deletion is! Please please please don't delete content in the classifieds.

@Phil_aka_Pip is in the cooler for a week.

 A number of comments were made in a recent thread which breeched rule 2 of the forum rules, resulting in warnings issued to a number of members, @Phil_aka_Pip included. 

As this was the second warning for rule 2 breeches, this has been upgraded to a spell in the cooler. 

Good job I swapped out the baseballs recently and had a sweep up..

He received a warning today for a breach of rule 2 in the “sharenting” thread - however, he was already on a warning for a distasteful attempt at humour in a thread relating to advice about a suicide. 

Looks like we have adopted the same policy as many collectors - one in, one out..

Heavyrocker is cooling off after an exciting morning derailing a thread with Brexit comments, and then claiming it was someone else’s fault.

He was in a little longer than we had originally planned. This was due to an administration error in the cooler paperwork processing department brought about by a variety of miscalculated file transmissions, a lost floggle toggle, a number of minor hiccups in the post processing team, oh, and Brexit.

@Marshall is in the cooler for 2 weeks. 

1 week for making racist/fascist claims against another member.

1 additional week for then posting multiple messages on their wall repeating these claims and suggesting a “meet up” to “debate” it, as well as saying that they are a descriptor for female genitalia that rhymes with “hunt” 

He is also on a final warning - mostly for persistence, and for interrupting my pot noodle and beer whilst I’m trying to catch up with Line of Duty...

User @ftumch is back after a period in the cooler. Actually, he’s been in for 12 months so more of a spell in the deep freeze. 

Initially he committed a few faux pas (not going into details here) and was offered a choice of consequences - he chose a 12 month “ban”.

After a suitably apologetic approach of the modmins, it’s been agreed his deep freeze can be lifted and he’s allowed to thaw out.

If he appears frosty at first then you know why..

Post removed from classifieds about the legitimacy of a Charvel guitar. 

The thread became an argument between buyer and seller. 

Simply put - we are not here to arbitrate legitimacy in any transactions. Similarly, we don’t want these sorts of threads in public view - if you have a grievance then it’s by PM or email. 

If this particular argument surfaces in any threads anywhere else then it will be removed and the parties put in the cooler.
