England have been ok. We have always been at our best when a team comes at us, we need that. The group stages have always been difficult for us because of this.
Fair play to Wales though, fantastic stuff.

Big countries getting the rub of decisions again, penalty that never was to Spain, when Croatia had a better shout for one. Saved-justice as he's nearly out the 6 yard box-shit officiating all round.

Bugger. So in fantasy land, when England win the first game of the knockouts, they will probably meet France in the QF, and then Spain or Germany in the Semi's. If Italy finish top, Italy, Spain, German, France, and England are all on one side of the draw.

Still, thinking positive, an England vs Poland final is still a possibility  :D

Good point @lloyd. The assault on Shane Long in the Belgium box should have resulted in a penalty to Ireland. While Long was on the ground, most people expected Belgium to put the ball out of play. As is the custom in these matters. Instead Belgium went down the field and scored. Bad Karma. No sense of sportsmanship by the Belgians. Bad form.

That hasn't been the custom for a few years now. Quite rightly so, too many players were pretending to be hurt just to break up opposition attacks.

    Aye, agree with that.

The player always just gets up when his team regains possession (if the other team don't kick it out).

A new rule came in that only head injuries, would mean stopped play and it was to be done by the referee, not the players, but it seems to have been largely ignored unfortunately.

I understand why players do kick the ball out as they would like the same treatment if it was them (and they were actually hurt) but if it was me and the opposition striker took a huge dive and there was a break on, no way would the ball be going out, the crowd could boo all they want.

I agree that it is easy for a player to 'lie down' with the cynical intention of stopping play, but players tend to know when a player is really injured or not.  Shane Long was really injured yet the Belgians did not react accordingly.  Certainly the player who hurt Long would have been aware of this....

    Yep.

For all Spain's tippy tappy football, a full blooded Croatian team beat them.

I'll be honest, the only team I have been really impressed with is Italy.

    It could be anyone's tournament.
