It's been a tough couple weeks to be a Welsh sports fan living in England-Rugby losses, that goal last Thursday.

Top of the group as it stands, but that was beyond our dreams before the tournament kicked off-we'd have taken best third place before hand.

Don't even care if England score to be honest.

Well done to Wales, outstanding effort to win the group. From an England point of very dissapointing, but Slovakia did nothing but park the bus (3rd team in a row!). Not the end of the world though in that there are no outstanding teams in group F. We may end up with Portugal, we usually do but at least they will have to try and win the game and there should be more space. England need to work on the crossing, it was poor tonight.

I'm really surprised at the lack of goals tonight for England-got goals through the whole side.

Vardy had a big chance that I saw I the first half. Some deep defending by Slovakia with some schoolboy goalmouth scrambles.

Roy's gonna get slammed for the changes I imagine? Thought swapping out the full backs was brave/stupid as well as wilshere starting-the others needed to happen.

Typical England performance. Lots of endeavour....but no quality. But they go through to the next phase.....which we have to be thankful for.

Yes, playing for their clubs, who play as a team, to their players' strengths they score goals.

For England, who seem to somehow be less of a team than most teams I've seen at the tournament, and every tournament I can recall, this doesn't happen.

Well second place is possibly better for the next round-you play F2 which is Iceland at the moment, but likely to be will be Hungary if Portugal beat them (although you could get Portugal too).

Wales get one of Albania, Northern Ireland Croatia or Czech Republic-yeah great if Albania comes out but Czech are dangerous and NI beat us last time out.

Anyway, we're through top of the group which is awesome-how will this affect seeding for the next competition draw?

We get screwed by being low seeds (rightly) every time...

I think the team selection was questionable. Ali should start, there was no need to swap the full backs. Henderson was okay, but nothing more. But looking at the positives, no injuries and a place in the next round. Hopefully we click at some point, but it's the usual stuttering England tournament performance for now.

It's weird why this happens. Baffling. I think in part it's down to people over rating players and the EPL.

Showed heart last week and dug deep for the win, but you're one break or a good set piece by Slovakia from getting dumped out, which should never happen to England.

Finishing had let you down in every game in fairness-you could have scored 5 against Wales.

I don't think there was any danger of Slovakia scoring. I'd like to see Rashford also, he's an unknown quantity to many and could freshen things up slightly.

You could have said that about the Russia or Wales game in fairness...yet both teams did.

Hamsik is a dangerous player and can hit a ball.

England have absolutely outplayed every team this tournament yet finishing has not clicked-not sure you can blame Roy too much for that IMO.

He can't legislate for goal line clearances and great saves or hitting the woodwork.

I think so.

Again, I enjoyed the game, and there only looked like every being one winner. Maybe my expectations are lower, but christ, listening to some England fans, you would expect some fans of other countries to be suicidal. Maybe they have more realistic expectations though?

Sure, we can't finish, but after watching England for bloody decades be outplayed (and somehow still manager to get some wins), England are finally play a much more modern and tactical game. Sometimes it is still too patient, and sometimes they make too many passes, but England are undefeated in the competition so far, and have qualified for the next round, and are actually playing relatively intelligent football, just let down by poor finishing. The thing is though, create the chances, and the finishing could come. That is much more likely to result in success than scoring some goals but not being able to control the game. Well, my opinion anyway.

Well done Wales - England a disappointment, but playing against 10 defenders and a goalie!

England dominated , a few nice crosses, only a couple of moments where Slovakia looked anywhere near scoring. Not exactly a classic and a goal would have been nice but reasonably entertaining and England were the better team so I wasn't too disappointed. But well done Wales, probably not many people would have imagined them topping their group.
