With the massive surge in racist attacks, the recent football violence, ever increasingly polarised attitudes towards the UK in Scotland and Northern Ireland compared to England & Wales, the serial political backstabbing, perilous medium/longterm outlook for the economy and the miserable ****ing weather, I'm having a hard job summoning any enthusiasm at the moment for flag-waving.

The BBC has been... at least in Scotland. It's been very biased... I don't know anybody up here who disagrees. I think they've even recognised that as being the prevailing perception, if not the actuality and are trying to address it.

I'm fluent in Welsh, I'm lucky, I grew up with it. Not sure it's ever been described as cool to me before.

it's not about flag waving…

it's about remembering all that awesome stuff we do, we have and that is here

because there is a shit lot of it, and it's been over shadowed by bullshit and powerful people with personal agendas that end up turning us on one another…

very proud of all of it that makes me the mongrel that I am..

on my dad's side we have a clan tartan etc..

the curry capitol of the world is Brum…

the UK is so good at being the UK that stuff from all corners of the globe comes and joins in to the point where it becomes it gets adopted by us.. it don't matter where it was invented.. curry is ours now
