even before I had any idea that my grandfather was a Scot, or had any notion of what Scotland is, hearing the Scots Guards Band play never failed to make me feel proud and tall..

hiking across Snowdonia as a teenager in awe at what a beautiful country I come from..

but I'm not Welsh..

coming off the top of a huge hill on the M40 looking out over Oxfordshire..

I'm from north wales, spent a lot of time in Snowdonia-it's great.

Lived in Oxford, beautiful part of the world, beautiful people.

Settled in Manchester-amazing city.

Scotland is just beautiful.

Never been to NI unfortunately.

I've heard said there are a lot of similarities between Welsh and Basque, language wise I mean.

I'm guessing you mean the descent from the Stokenchurch Cutting where the view of the Oxfordshire Plain just opens up in front of you. I drive this most weeks so must have seen this view hundreds of times but it still never fails to excite me. Awesome. Also the red kites that you always soaring over the M40 between Beaconsfield and the Stokenchurch cutting.
