Here’s my latest essentials mini board, these are the things that I need to do what I want, if I were to join a band playing covers I would probably need more. The blue box is a Magna Vibes from Jed Peds which is a revelation, what I have been looking for for ages, pitchy, amplitude wobblyness that’s good or so many things. Added a switchable Kl*n buffer in it too. :-) Might have caught the building bug, so many overdrive flavours to try for little ££s

A big change for me, MC8 incoming and what a game changer, so much control available. It's really opened up options for the PX5 in being able to switch boards and turn on/off individual pedals via midi. Will be trying this board for a while now, trying to get everything from the Stomp and PX5, it's more than capable, just not sure I am!

Interesting to see a Plethora x5 and HX Stomp on the same set up. They are different beasts with quite a lot of overlap. I'm interested to know what tends to do what?

@JCA2550 I have the PX5 in the effects loop of the HX Stomp and use it for delays, modulation and reverbs. I have nothing against the effects in the Stomp they are fantastic, but using the PX5 means I can save on the DSP in the Stomp. I only use one FX loop block to access up to five further effects in the PX5. I can have a one HX Snapshot as a core tone, a second using a drive from the Stomp, and a third that brings in the PX5 effects via the effects loop.

I picked this up earlier in the week for not a lot of money ... finally had a chance to have a fiddle and as an ‘all in one’ solution for gigging, I think it’s amazing.  The reverbs, delays and modulations are great, I really like the tube comp and the drive sounds are more than ok for gigs.  I A/B’d it with a few nice drive pedals I have (Barber, Voodoo Labs etc) and they did sound marginally better, but I’ll be more than happy taking this out.  

I’m thinking I’ll make a mini board up with my 2 main drives, boost and add a couple of mini pedals (delay, reverb and chorus) as an alternative that I can flip between.

Hybrid setup with the QC. I'm finding the usability and ease of getting excellent sounds from the QC is leading me to get a few pedals out again! To be honest it doesn't really need all of them, but they do sound nice and are excellent fun...

Latest iteration. Also have jhs little black buffer underneath as always on.
Two Stroke is in the effects loop to double my amp channels effectively.

What I took with me to Barcelona... inside the amp I have a Torpedo Captor X so I can push it a bit  harder.

Life in BCN is almost normal now that bars and restaurants are opening till late... just need to find some locals to jam and then life will be perfect!
