  • Minus a phaser and flanger I’m waiting on, but I’ve filled the gap for the sake of this photo  Weird arrangement with two reverbs before OD/Fuzz.

This is my studio board anyway; for live use I use just two pedals. I don’t fancy lugging this shit about!

Wise words - small boards for playing out, large boards for playing in...

  • I had a little reshuffle of my non-gigging mess-around board. The combination of the Drone Rainger and a Dod Rubberneck is nuts. It’s kind of tricky to balance all the rubbernecking and regen on the Rubberneck with the drones but it’s fun to mess about with. If I persevere I might even be able to make some actual music with it!

Bit of jiggery pokey to fit a few other things on and I'll be happy with where this is.

I took off a Memory Boy because it was being glitchy in a non usable way ;)

I'm not fooling myself that it won't change, but I'm very happy with this lot.

Lovely! I've owned it twice before and stupidly sold both times - the mistake has been rectified for a year or more now!

Still my favourite arpeggio pedal. It's like an instrument in itself.

Great stuff! My favourite is still the Hedra, though it needs onboard presets... or I need to get my MIDI shit together  :)

I'd love to try the Hedra but I didn't really get on with the last two Meris pedals I had, despite their sonic beauty. It's a bit complex for my preferences. I think if you need a pristine arpeggiator then the Hedra is the way to go. I quite like the quirks of the Arpanoid.

    Enjoying looking at these.

But what I'm curious about is your power supplies, or where do you attach them and how do you guys account for pedals with weird requirements?

I'm hoping to put together a small board, a few basic pedals with low mA requirements, but also would like to include a Digitech Whammy 5 and maybe a preamp pedal, both of which would require more than my power supply can handle. I have a Trex Fuel Tank Junior which doesn't seem very good unless you only have five drive pedals....

Some "underbelly" shots of existing boards would be interesting!
Please note my communication is not very good, so please be patient with me

I've got two supposedly isolated PSUs under my board - a Harley Benton Powerplant Jr and a Vitoos ISO one - both silent. The HB only powers up to 100mA per output I think, but the Vitoos offers 500mA per output so ideal for the more hungry pedals.

And dear lord you don't want to see my underbelly. It's ridiculously untidy because I chop and change pedal order etc quite often. I think you can get PSUs that offer a handful of 100mA then a couple of higher power outputs.
