I fear what you have described is a BLT with extra toppings.
A "Bacon Sarnie" is bacon, in some bread.
Shot through the heart, and you’re to blame, you give love a bad name. Not to mention archery tuition.

A 'proper' BLT should be toasted bread, Tomato, lettuce, mayo, bacon. The toast takes it to a different level.

BLT (occasionally with avocado) or plain bacon with butter.

Anything else is sick and wrong.

Coleslaw has absolutely no place in a bacon sarnie.

never understood this thing for grilling bacon, I much prefer it fried. I get outdoor reared bacon and it's always much fattier than the supermarket rubbish, so you get loads of lovely fat left in the pan, makes for great sauteed potatoes for dinner. You just need to do a couple of hours hard work outdoors to burn it off is all.

I'm not locked in here with you, you are locked in here with me.

I agree...and let's be honest, the bread is only there so you've got a handle.

Being a veggie, I've only tried this with a vaguely salty, smoky tasting substitute, but I reckon if you made yourself a cheese/bacon/peanut butter toasted sandwich, your taste buds would thank you forever, even if your arteries didn't.

Wisdom! I'd generally rather eat something non-bacon than grilled bacon. But it's probably the same people who like it just warmed up and chewy, rather than at that perfect just-crispy-but-still-juicy stage.

You guys are talking my language!!

Fry the bacon and butter the bread. Just before the bacon is ready to come out the pan, lie the bread (butter side down) on top of the bacon then make you sarnie as normal!! Amazing!
