    I've re-done the patch and it seems much bette now.. CPU is down to 71% and switching between scenes is a LOT better.  Next rehearsal is wednesday so I'll know for sure after then.
    @Si, how did it go?

    Scene switching is a lot better now i've re-done my patch.. still not 100% happy with it, but almost there.  Cleans are still not to my liking, but think my lead and rhythm tones are there now.

    @Si_ I know it's a little counter intuitive.. but..
    try setting up your clean tone so that there is a tiny hint of dirt going on hint you strum reasonable hard..
    it'll thicken the tone, be a bit more 'playable' and actually sound cleaner in the mix..

    thats how I have it.. seems a bit thin and weedy.. might experiment with a few different amp blocks.

    Turn up the depth knob, that'll add some low end girthitude (yes it's a word!!) to your tone.

    Which model are you using? I prefer the Double verb for cleans at the moment.

    It's the double verb I'm using. I'll try the depth control tomorrow and see itf it helps.

    I'm not after crystal cleans.. like Clarky said, I want a little bite when I dig in, but clean when played lightly.

    I like the Hiwatt Normal for cleans on the thicker / more robust side..

    you can also go into the amp's GEQ page and give the 125 and 250 a good nudge
    and if it 'honks' in the low mids, try cutting 500 by a few dB.. that'll also help the low end sound a bit deeper..

    You could also try one of the Bassman models, with the gain set so that it starts to thicken at strumming volume

    I was never a fan of the FCB1010, found it a total pain to program and it just felt cheap (although I guess it is cheep so that's ok).

    Expression pedals do feel a bit cheap, but the footswitches feel as good as the Boss ones imho, and the chasis is solid. Not much more you could want really.

    I actually prefer these soft 'Boss style' switches to the ones the Fractal MFC uses. Your feet can find them much easier and because the top row is offset it means less accidental triggerings.

    The MFC - imho - felt overpriced for what you get, and I didn't like the form factor which is why I sent it back.

    I like those switch types too... somethnig I get reminded of every time I mess with the VG-99 / FC-300..

    You'll do as you are told, or does Drew have to get out his truncheon again?
