Looks like the first Editor beta seems to be out!
    What!
If we are not ashamed to think it, we should not be ashamed to say it.

OK, I'm liking this a lot.  Not quite as intuitive as the Helix but it goes a long way towards closing the gap.

    Finally!

  • Just had a play with the editor for the first time, it's actually really nice. I didn't think I needed one, but after a bit of time with it I could see myself using it a lot actually.

A lot of people didn't think they needed one until they got one

I work predominantly ITB, and my workflow is optimised via centralised screens with various midi controllers (knobs & faders, etc). The appearance of the editor is the best thing since sliced bread (for me).

Ok, I've had a bit of a play around with the new editor, and it's awesome considering it's only a beta release. With some new drives on the way, the Kemper is going to be near the top in the amp modelling world.

Nothing I've used sounds as good as the Kemper. New drives are a good thing.

Is there any official word on new drives? Or is it an assumption?

I'm sure I read it on the Kemper forum that they are in the pipeline, along with an acoustic simulator?

Seems you cannot edit performances in RM 3..... which is a massive ball-ache, seeing as that's kind of where you need to use the editor.

EDIT - Ignore me, it seems you can! Happy days :)

I can’t! Well I supposedly can but it messes up changing slots and doesn’t save it properly so it’s basically useless for me.

I get it’s a Beta but once again I’m pretty disappointed in another Kemper software release.

Yeah, I've found multiple issues lately - one of which is that you cannot lock slots, create a new performance with those locked slots and a rig (i.e. amp and cab) from your saved rigs, and then go back to the previous performances. It really messes it all up.

I think they felt pressured to get the beta version out there ahead of time, so if you are doing anything more than messing about, I'd use the latest official version as this release is one for the guinea pigs.
