  • The Red Admirals - new romantic originals
    Rockweiler - cock rock originals
Howling Trouser Magic - Zep plagiarism.
Broken Arrow - indie originals & covers
    Silverface - Indie/Rock
The Honeyslides - Female fronted indie
    Radiator Joe - Rock Covers
The Verticals - Rock Covers. (still going)
Cardinal Sinners - RnR, Glam, Folk Rock covers.(still going).

First three never played any gigs. Silverface and the Honeyslides were my ideas. I feel I wasted some of the names on the wrong bands.

Brainchild of a schoolfriend. Never actually gigged though, unfortunately. He now writes fairly successful theatre shows, and channels the spirits of Elvis and John Lennon via Sony headphones into his mind! :|

Yeah, we only played a few times. Still, I'd like to reform because it's the best band name. Ever.

he's the lawyer out of To Kill a Mockingbird. There are a couple of other bands named after characters in TKAM aren't there, although I forget which.

For me, nothing too exciting name wise:

    Godzilla and the benders
    Hollows of Venus
    Stonehouse
    ZU
    From Sabbath to Hell
    Sent Her Mental

I think the best band name I ever saw was driving through London and sat in traffic we noticed a pub a board outside a pub that said "Live Music". The next band appearing was called "Bum Gravy". We instantly pissed ourselves laughing :)

Aquila [school years.. kinda Thin Lizzy-ish]

the band that followed that had no name <-- kinda sounds like a precursor to being Prince don't it.. that must mean we were years ahead of our time.. this was essentially a follow on from Aquila with a slightly different line-up.. we'd just left school by then too..

Rhapsody - reggae / lovers rock

    Fenix - funk rock

Hanging Salad - funk rock [Fenix with a different drummer / keys player]

Civilians - Funk / pop with a rock twist ['91 to '93 and again 2011 until today]

David Cross Band ['93 unit today] - proggy / Crimsony stuff

Syberian - hard rock / metal / a little proggish occasionally .. a pet project of mine since '95.. tried to get this going a few times but I couldn't find the right people to make it work.. I'd actually like to give this one a go again.. just need to find the right people..

D.I.G.O  which means Does It Go Oink,

Basically the producer had a cookie jar which was in the shape of a pig, and you lifted the head to get a cookie, the first time any of the others in the band went over the first thing we said when we saw the cookie jar was................
