I'm a huge Jack White fan. He's pure rock & roll and I absolutely love the Raconteurs. Their second album is incredible. Thanks for this.

I'd agree with Annie Clark but not sure about the others as such - interesting they might be but I always feel a guitar hero has to have some element of basically being cool, which people like Auerbach or Mayer certainly don't fall into for me. Great players but not that extra something of personality

Love the Raconteurs. Jack White's energy combined with Brendon Benson's power-pop hook skills is great.

Quality as ever. Closest modern thing to the vibe of The Band but firing off in different directions. Real chemistry in there.

Big fan of all Jacks work.
The film he did with the Edge and Jimmy Page is a brilliant must see if you haven’t already.
Not a fan of his direct to disc vinyl though.

Homme isn’t a guitar virtuoso. Neither is Auerbach. Haim? Come on. Mayer isn’t as mainstream. Plus he is just a guy who knows his history and his scales and has got great feel. But he’s doing nothing new. 

Annie Clarke is a very good shout. In fact a fantastic one. But again, she hasn’t had the commercial success of the White Stripes. Although maybe no serious guitar player or band will ever have that in the near future.

The simplicity of the White Stripes and Jacks talent was Genius.
I can’t think of any other duo’s in Rock history that Nailed it like Meg and Jack.

Love me some Jack White. His blunderbuss solo album was awesome, and I had the pleasure to see him at Alexandra palace right after that, very good show. I also really dig his composition/production in general, like Hurt Yourself on Beyonce's Lemonade or yes, even that Bond tune... Instantly recognisable style and sound.
