Roland said: Scales are primarily a tool for categorising knowledge, not a rule for what can or cannot be played.
Supportact said: [my style is] probably more an accumulation of limitations and bad habits than a 'style'.

Played at a small festival this evening close to home, finished by 9pm, great PA by ESP of Yeovil, sound on and off stage perfect, even guys bringing on bottled water between songs etc.
Luckily we finished our set before these guys went on, we warmed the audience up but this band ripped them up, awesome performance. So a big thumbs up to The Land of the Giants band from Plymouth.
Thought I would put up a YT clip for you all.

Private function on 20th July with my old Greek band - The Argonauts -  I haven't played with them in over 2yrs, so should be fun and apart from some traditional and modern Greek stuff, the newies in the non-Greek set will include "Get lucky", "Happy", "Somebody I used to know" and "Blurred lines".

no one bit - just back from my first gig in over a year. It was in some slightly odd circumstances and very under rehearsed ( as a group of people we had only met once before). I definitely struggled at times but some crazy string bending whilst throwing shapes goes a long way...

The new Inn last Saturday was a gas. Everything was polite but Ok until we played Another Brick in the Wall (it's first appearance in our set) and the audience went mad. Brilliant night.

Well, after 5 years of gigging regularly with the same band and this never happening, it has happened twice in the last month: Gig cancelled but full gig fee paid!

So, tonight I shall spend the evening with Ms nRollDave...and get paid for it!

Last night we were in Northampton, at our very least favourite venue (worst noise-limiter/ unhelpful staff/ rubbish food) but I enjoyed playing anyway and have stumbled upon a radically different EQ setting on my amp I never though to try before, but which makes my guitar sound loads better than any guitar sound I have ever succeeded in getting ever before in my life. MAJOR breakthrough!

Wedding gig tomorrow in Leicester...not sure what to expect given the very yoof-orientated playlist they gave us for the DJ music..But I shall aim to enjoy myself anyway.

Enjoy your gigging (and non-gigging) weekends, folks!

Urban Legends are at the White Lion in Beeston on Saturday. Last gig before our summer break. The weather forecast is hot and thundery. I love sweaty gigs.

At this time of the year I'd rather wear shorts and a T shirt, get wet, and change afterwards. We all change for the show anyway
