Germany are too good to have a shit-the-bed performance against. 

As good as we've looked under Clarke at times there have been occasions where he does absolutely mental things and this was one of them. We don't have the players to park the bus against Germany, but we try and do it anyway and get hammered. With this squad we need to be a lot more positive.

Well.... I didn't put any money on it. But by the looks of things, the Scots beat the Germans on beers consumed before the game.

Really don't think Scotland even tried to do that; they just looked utterly clueless with no plan.A few games to go yet though.

Only saw the hilights but Germany walked all over Scotland by the look of it. Scored 5 plus one disallowed plus an own goal. That brief moment of defending by Germany looked chaotic so if that’s representative maybe they will fall apart at the back against a better team.

It happens in football. Sometimes everything goes your way, sometimes everything falls apart.

I remember when it happened to Germany when we beat them 5-1 all those years ago. We weren't really a gulf apart in quality, just on the night it all came good.

Think Scotland need to forget about it and move on.

However, the rest of us can maybe be optimistic rather than pessimistic that the Germans may well think they are better than they actually are.

Well at least it provides some idea of what to absolutely not do when it comes to picking the team

Just watched the highlights, Germany looked good, but very disappointed for the Scottish fans really. Do they not have a better keeper than that though? He may well have done better in other parts of the game than the highlights suggest, but he looked unable to get a strong hand on anything. Is he normally better than that? Maybe sense of occasion knocked him out?

Think he'll select Mainoo to sit along side Rice in that holding role - So Gordon on the bench - Southgate tends to select this option, especially with a new CB pairing that might be vulnerable
