Southgate apparently looking to play 3-4-2-1 against Switzerland with Saka as LWB one of trippier or TArnold as RWB and Bellingham and foden as the 2 behind Kane.
Not keen on Saka as a LB but at least it adds a bit of balance with a natural left-footer on the left. Trippier has to cut back on his right when in crossing positions. I wonder who the other centre back will be alongside Stones as Guehi is suspended. I presume Walker will go inside as RCB.
    They are suggesting Konsa.
You would not be wanting to face Mbappe with Trippier or Saka at WB

    Walker can handle Mbappe’s pace

the issue with a good WB is that do you go for a winger who can defend- Or a defender who can attack - TAA has benefits as a WB, but still better going forward at times - The likes of Ashley Cole would have made a great WB - But you would not have said that about. G Neville

I've been enjoying watching Vitinha this tournament..... an old school sort of play maker..... reminds me a bit of Rui Costa (though not as much of a goal threat)...... has anyone seen him play for PSG?

No but I've been impressed with him as well. He's quick and rarely loses the ball.

And he just had a glorious chance to score just now.

Two best defenses so far though.

Yes, it's very disciplined. Not many errors, however deliveries from corner and free kicks are not top quality either (Bruno in 1st).

France surely don’t fancy penalties against Portugal.

Two people massaging Ronaldos thighs while he sits in the middle of his Manager's team talk is hilarious. Smirking with his eyebrows done.

Not contributed diddly squat to the team so far tonight - At this rate his kit won’t even need washing

He doesn't seem as desperate to score tonight as he was against Slovenia. So much so that he was just wide open 5 yards from goal and he still skied it to row Z.

1 in 61 now? Hard to understand why he is allowed to just keep doing this. Uneventful game so far but I quite like a penalty shootout.

Watch his goal for Wolves Vs Chorley. Madness we didn't take up the loan option.

Yes - Progress to the semi final without effectively scoring a goal - Certainly in open play
