Something I've been curious about, but don't want to appear snarky - do Wet Leg have someone buying their guitars for them? I mean, it's been observed that their approach to the instrument is somewhat rudimentary. This isn't something I have a problem with, to be honest, it's fun and I got into playing during punk
Maybe they just go to shops & website and see what they like the look of?
Maybe they buy guitars that they try, play well and sound good, and don't disappear up their own behinds trying to sound like Dave Gilmour as well...

I know, right? They're never going to get cred from the Hawaiian shirt, cargo shorts P&W crowd on TGP with that attitude!

Just found the Snarky Puppy set and was going to ask about the blue guitar but beaten to it. Although perhaps more interestingly they seem to have comedian Ed Byrne on violin.

    ^ Too true.
Also the female guitarist with Declan Mckenna (and him too) loads of changes (PRS, Gretsch, Tele's, acoustics etc) & a very fun set with a lot of guitarish twists. New to me but I'm impressed... as well as by the Tele 72 Deluxe player in Koffee's band immediately after. Tight as a gnats chuff.

wet leg... I think fender drop off samples into their pixie lair at end of the garden and they secretly test them out in their fairy basement. Then they decide which ones they want and the fender copter picks up the unwanted ones after they give the go ahead to fender custom shops chief luthier.
I absolutely love them and before glasto had never heard of them.

    Dont worry, be silly.

Obviously not heard the various moanings about them here.

Its not really a secret Fender has been handing out MIM guitars like sweaties to up and coming bands.

Yep - the Troy Van Leeuwen signatures are made in Mexico. I've played one, and it was a very very good guitar.

(Um, yeah, so about the comment above: I think my question was "They don't seem the type, why do they have such fancy guitars?" And the answer is, "They don't, you twat." So, mm, twat, me. FWIW, having done some research, the ones they've been using in reality rather than my hallucinations on this tour seem to be a pretty good choice for what they do. So, the answer that went "They went to a shop and bought them" seems to be right on the money.

    Quite embarrassed, actually.)
