Definitely agree on Somewhere Over The Rainbow.

Off the top of my head:

You Get What You Give by New radicals.

If that's the worst music you have ever been subjected to, I envy you.

Quite right. I've become a gentle soul in my dotage but when I was a teenager I wanted to pour petrol all over her, set her on fire and then drop a grand piano on her to put out the flames.

Why does she sing "Button my baby"? Drives me nuts.

    I offer up...

    Tears in Heaven
    Uptown Funk
    Troublemaker by Olly Murrs
Sharp Dressed Man by Zzzzzzzzz Topp
    Chasing Cars

There's not really a common theme to why I hate them so much (and there are plenty others also not conforming to a pattern), but I genuinely cannot listen to any of them

    This.
You know those mosquito / sonic device things they put outside convenience stores etc.. to repel teenagers / young adults loitering. Well this is their revenge on my generation.

Take b-side Craig David insipid lover man r&b, freeze dry it removing any trace of melody or feel that actually existed in the thing in the first place, add travis picking on a mini-acoustic with a looper pedal and you have Ed Sheeran.

I can't deny he has a decent singing voice, the work ethic or the fact that he's packing Wembley Stadium for 5 nights (what guts!) but by go*d ... as a lover of music I cannot describe the affront I feel when I am exposed to his music. And it's everywhere.

Geoff Lynn, Michael McDonald, Black Lace... Ed takes it to a different level and weaponises it.

And I can't even go to my local Five Guys without seeing this guy on a poster with the blurb "Five Guys over everything ...".
What the f*uck does that even mean ?!?!
    ...she's got Dickie Davies eyes...

At least one in my case: Somewhere over the Rainbow, especially the version recorded by the late Eva Cassidy.  I listen to a lot of music and will put up with a fair amount of musical drivel, but that song...........
I was trying to think of something and when you mentioned somewhere over the rainbow it reminded me how much I can’t stand it

W.O.L.D by Harry Chapin. I'd rather be stabbed repeatedly in the Ear with a Knitting Needle than listen to it.

    Danny Wilson - Mary's Prayer

Absolutely utterly despise it. I feel like I'm in real danger of an aneurysm if I'm ever forced to listen to it somewhere I can't turn it off or leave immediately.
I had the please of meeting Gary Clarke of Danny Wilson as he has moved back to Dundee with some very nice vintage amps. Doesn't change Mary's Prayer, but does atone for the sins.

I don't have a specific song I hate, but so many new songs are just vomit.

Excellent spot... considering it's a band I used to love I really really dislike this song and every dogshit Muse song it inspired. Would 100% switch to Coldplay.

Pretty much any national anthem. Some are musically better than others. Most are drivel and the words almost always suck.
    Worse: I give you.."Ireland's Call".

A piece of corporate style w*nkdogsh1tery of the very highest order, trying and failing miserably to be an acceptable substitute to all but the saddest of sad individuals out there :)
