The answer is Black Sabbath, but a few more which sprang to mind (apologies if any have already been mentioned):

Man on the Silver Mountain from Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow
In the New Age from Out of the Silent Planet by King's X
Bang Go the Bells by Babylon AD
Hungry for Rock from Earthshaker by Y&T (...cheating, but their first two albums were as Yesterday and Today)
Can I Tell You by Kansas
I See the Ruins from Last Decade Dead Century by Warrior Soul

Astonishing opener from "The Yes Album".

Also not mentioned so far - Eagles, Take It Easy.

Maybe not quite as great or genre-defining as some already listed - although arguably AOR probably started there even if country rock didn't! - but good enough that they had difficulty topping it in their entire career, so much so that it was the final encore of the last gig they (the proper Eagles) ever played.

I think that's a good one.  I'm not really an Eagles fan and I'm not that familiar with their material outside of the hits, but I certainly know that song.  And looking at the track listing of the first album I think it's the only one I know.
