Not a bad one from where we were on t11, ie where most good stuff happened.

It might be dull, but Vettel is in a class of his own right now. Alonso was great in an average car but no one could touch him
Have to agree with your synopsis - Vettel totally destroyed the opposition today and Alonso proved that he's probably the only guy who could catch Vettel [he'd need to be in a Red Bull]. Unfortunately Hamilton and Button seem to have gone AWOL. Button looks like he doesn't care and Hamilton blames the car - he should spend a day with Alonso.

I have a bad dose of flu so I bought a Sky Sports Day pass and watched the whole nine yards starting with the interview with the drivers on the parade lap. Good TV for £9.99 as I watched the football afterwards.

I wondered if Kimi deliberately had a prang cos they haven't paid him!
I had the same thought. I suspect his refusal to race would also put him in breach of contract - albeit because they haven't paid him. Going off at the first corner keeps him on the right side but still making his point. Well played Kimi.

It appears that he has now reached a deal with Lotus

Looked like a genuine accident to me.  I can understand the sentiment that he would want to put one over the team, but at the same time his claim against them would increase if he managed to score points.  I have to agree with Eddie Jordan (not something i say often) he should have started from the pits and picked the backfield off down the straights and using DRS

Cant help wonder if the timing is a little deliberate.  I will hazard that there is something in his contract allowing his to miss races for an operation without it jeopardising his earnings for the rest of the season

    Oooof! Nice one, Kimi!

And are the skids under the Mexican? Is Magnusson going to be at McLaren next year, or is it Whitmarsh's piss-poor attempt at a wake-up call?

  • Hopefully out, or to Sauber or something. Still rooting for Hulk to Lotus if McLaren really dont want him.

Bye bye Perez. Not surprised though!

    Glad Massa got a drive.

    Other than that I'm bored.

Autosport are saying it's a done deal, Planet F1 are saying it's still only a possibility.

I just hope young Kev is better than his dad was. After all Jan beat Senna's F3 record but was pants in F1

    I WANT TO BUY:

Well Massa seems optimistic that the new regs and car engine systems will level the playing field (unless your heavy) but im not so sure . It'll still be about aerodynamics and the usual suspects and the engine systems which are not exclusive to any particular team .
There arent enough engine suppliers in F1 !

The major exhaust-based aero is getting nuked though, so it's a start.

I still would rather have hard tyres that last ages but don't give that much grip in the first place. Get all the cars pushing on the edge by making "the edge" nearer, so to speak. Aero is very clever but it does make racing less interesting when they still can't even follow another car closely.

I like Eddie Irvine's old idea.

Up to 4L engines, and no wings. Sort the men from the boys.

Easy to predict who would win... Carlos Sainz!

According to Prost things could get boring. The new regs favour small light drivers with a smooth driving style as teams will have to conserve fuel during the race so they have enough for a big push at the end. He also thinks the new technology will be very unreliable.

Well if prost is right then the unreliability should mix things up a bit providing its not the same car all the time  [-O<

If these comments are accurate then I think Perez has just resigned!

Nobber. Should keep his head down and work hard for the last 2 races and hope for the best.
