Did Ricciardo have some sort of problem this weekend?  Nowhere in qualifying, nowhere in the race.  I know the Baby Bulls weren’t fast in general, but trailing in behind Sargent is unusually bad.

He had a ~50 second pitstop apparently. TV didn’t notice

The next race clashes completely with the rugby.

Difficult decision as to what goes on the TV and what on the iPad.
The race might be very dull... and Ireland are going to tear apart England.

    Might read a book instead.
    Well this hasn't aged well ! ;)

Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

Bad pit stop or not he’s not looked convincing really has he. Pity really as he comes across as a great bloke. Like to see him do well.

A good bloke? Danial Ricciardo? Have you watched Drive To Survive?

He's in love with what he sees in the mirror and that far up his own arse he can't see any daylight at the end of the Monaco tunnel

The only reason he isn't a washed up has been driving Uber's is because, for whatever reason, Christian Horner likes him.

He’s very PR-friendly.  But crappy pit stop or not, he can’t really afford another weekend like this one and the last.

Red Bull’s number one complaint with Perez is that he’s shit at qualifying.  That’s not a catastrophe at the minute, as they’ve got such a car advantage that in the race he can just drive straight past everyone who outqualified him.  But hopefully that’s not a permanent state of affairs, and when the others catch up it’s going to hurt.

So they’re hardly going to offer DR a promotion if he’s getting blown away by Tsunoda in qualifying, whether or not he can make it up in the race.

Sad day today: I've taken DR out of my Fantasy F1 team. To add insult to injury, pretty much the only driver I could afford to replace him with was Tsunoda.

Multiple sources (OK, same anoraks posting the same info from Germany) saying that the Thai 51% shareholders are kicking Horner out.

Quote of the race for the unfortunate Lance Stroll:

    Stroll: “I hit the wall”

Engineer: “Okay, can you bring it back?”

Stroll: “…..  No.  I’m in the fucking wall.”

He always sounds like a petulant child to me, I find him very hard to like.

Red Bull employee files second complaint with FIA | F1-Insider.com

It seems that the lady's first complaint was not replied to by the Ben Sulayem so now it goes to the ethics committee and the World Automobile Federation.

It seems it is not over yet. Ben Sulayem seems to be doing a great job.... not. When there is an official complaints procedure it's a very bad look if the Prez himself doesn't follow it.

Irrespective of the truth of the lady's allegations, both Redbull and the FIA have handled this very badly.

Not only that, but lying on record. Stating that there had been no complaints put forward to the FIA, when clearly there had been. Not that it should come as a surprise.

Looks like she is determined and being very advised by competent lawyers.

RB and the FIA are continuing to make themselves look very stupid with every new headline.

  • I think Bottas might be my favourite character on the current F1 grid. The guy's a crease!
