    I was a keen 400m runner as a kid. 

    I got invited to a residential training thing at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. Got to meet Roger Black and John Regis. They were stretching before a training session. 

    I guess they’d been asked to be there, to be a bit inspirational to us kids. 

    The 14 year old me didn’t really know what to do, other than ask them to sign my spikes. 

    They were pretty miserable. Ho hum. 

    I can't help about the shape I'm in, I can't sing I ain't pretty and my legs are thin
