For those that like historical drama, this is great. Up there with The Last Kingdom and Rome.

Dexter is superb watched it twice already and just started it again! Ripley is good too, we're really enjoying it.

Failing that Arrested Development or Trailer Park Boys are my go to's for a laugh, I think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson is another that makes me lol!!!

    No that's "Kingdom" =)

"Last Kingdom" is about Alfred the Great and the Norsemen back in 10th century England

Kleo. It’s quirky and fun, and it’s got East German spies from the early 90’s in it.

So far I’ve seen zero of these suggestions. So I’ll add some of my own for everyone to ignore because it’s not their tastes.

Better Call Saul (if you’ve seen and enjoyed Breaking Bad, I think it’s superior to BB)

    The Queen’s Gambit

The Haunting of Hill House/Haunting of Bly Manor - the first is more horror, the other is more story driven. They’re unrelated story wise but use the same actors in different roles. I wouldn’t bother with the one about the small town preacher, I’ve forgotten its name but it’s weak. Fall of the House of Usher was meh, I didn’t finish it.

Black mirror is consistently good, but I do prefer the older Channel 4 ones. The new one are very “Netflix” but they’re still really good.

Bojack Horseman is one that’s often dismissed as silly but it’s one of the heavier comedy shows I’ve seen. Very heartfelt, very depressing. It’s real.

if you want a film, I recommend not watching any Netflix originals trailers because you won’t need to see the film. Uncut Gems is properly stressful. If you’ve seen mother! directed by daron aronofsky or Climax by Gaspar Noe (or any of Noe’s films actually) then I can tell you that Uncut Gems for me was as unpleasant as those. I like unpleasant films however.

If you want some lighthearted British tv comedy, there’s always Peep Show. Also White Gold, and People Just Do Nothing are definitely worth watching.

Jeez my recommendations are a depression session. Soz.

The Gentlemen has had slightly mixed reviews but I’m loving it so far. Not as geezerish as most Guy Ritchie stuff and all the better for it .
