I'm not one for crying sexism or anything, but some of the comments on here make me feel pretty uncomfortable, like I'm in a working men's club. If my skin's crawling, when I'm generally pretty permissive, normal people are going to find it pretty off-putting.

Most of the lewdness has been "I can't believe this happened to me" or cynical observations about celebs dressing provocatively 

Face facts, we aren't going to see women in this forum, hence men will make remarks for a male audience - tastes will differ as to how far is ok, I've had more trouble at work in professional environments with the "colleague x is a bonny lass" remarks. I don't want to be routinely asked my opinion on who I fancy at work

I'm not being a white knight, trying to protect the fair maidens from the foul manbeasts, and I know the forum demographic isn't likely to change. I'm just saying it makes me uncomfortable, and that I doubt I'm the only one.

Arguing women can be worse is pointless too. I'd have the same reaction and it doesn't justify lechery.

I find this forum rather refreshing, to be honest.  It's an island of reality in a sea of overly PC nonsense.

Sure, some things occasionally make me feel a little uncomfortable, or outright annoyed, but that's when I stop reading them and go do something else!

Look at all the categories down the lefhand side of your screen. Well used and brimming with intelligent conversation and highly useful advice. No 'seediness' anywhere to be seen. So it hardly defines the forum as a whole. So it's just this one category that you have an issue with. It's an area for general chat and banter with a demographic which must be 99% men between 18 and 50. What exactly do you expect? Maybe just avoid it and enjoy what else the forum has to offer.

I know exactly the sort of comments you mean Holn. The sort of, "That Samantha Fox, I'd give 'er one. Harharhar!" things. They don't exactly make me uncomfortable - and I certainly wouldn't want people to change - but they do reflect a base, puerile, degenerate aspect of a certain sort of fellow and I don't really understand why they would want to advertise it.

Not uncomfortable, no, but, if I'm honest, a little bit superior.
