The rules are, you could take it to one gig, lying everything from grunge to jazz.

I he two nominations:

An Anderson drop top, HSS, with switheroo and his rare but fabled midboost

My second one, and this will astonish many, would be  Parker FLy Deluxe. I genuinely think they'e jaw droppingly good and with the iezo, humbuickers, amazing trem trem it'll do everything you'd ever need.

Whst would yours be?

    Variax.
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

    HSS Anderson for me.
Mine is a classic- it has Suhr pickups in it- I moved from Anderson pickups to Suhr about 4 years ago.
I prefer the mid kick of the Suhr's to the broader bandwidth of the Andersons.

    I m going a throw a curve bsll aga\in

One of te ugliest guitrs ever mde, synonomous with one guitsr legend and easily one of the ugliest guitsr ever made.

Paradoxically, it's essily the best made snd most stunningly wonderful guitar I have ever plyed- light as  feather too.

Name that guit- I would kill for one but they're 3k.

The clue is only one artist really uses them but he is sn utter legend

In my opinion, Anderson edges Suhr on playability and ergonomics.
Tom uses very light weight Alder that feels great on- for that reason I play the Anderson more than either of my Suhr's.

I prefer Suhr pickups- Anderson goes for an atypical tonal response- more hifi that some perceive as clinical.
    They are very close though.

    The answer is this:

Easily the best guitar I hve ever played- the Rick Turner LB-1 (Lindsey Buckingham model)

@octatonic - why Anderson over suhr?
One is relatively mass produced, one is not.

I've owned bith- Andersons are better IMO, not by much but they sre. Better pup balance- nd the switcheroo is brill
