Absolutely the best performance by ENgland since 2007 QF and SF in the RWC.

Haskell immense, but also Dan Cole was fantastic in a very quiet way.

Push defence was monsterous. Itoje- what can you say about this guy? Krusher also fantastic in every aspect.

    10/10.

A turning point for English rugby.

Aus will give up now, not sure of Coles angle on the scrum if I'm honest and getting a lot of momentum from the scrum but fantastic stuff from England to exploit Oz weakness. YC from it too.
Mate, Sio was going in and under EVERY time. Totally illegal. Cole tore him a new one.

That is a side turning the corner from a very good side to a world class side.

    It was utterly stupendous.

Love the English hyperbole! We shall see what the coming weeks bring, very, very good performance no doubt but I wouldn't start crowning them yet.

Not the result mate, the quality of the rugby and squad.

I didn't mention the result, it was a very good performance and you've some class players but let's not go too overboard.

Australia will always let you play rugby, they missed some easy kicks which ruins momentum, had a YC, a try disallowed wrongly IMO and you scored tries at some crucial times (sign of a good team of course) and benefited from some batshit calls from a dozy captain-going for lineout not points on 47mins then opting for the short throw rather than setting up a maul, as well as the kick for pints with 2 mins to go, from which you scored a breakaway try due to good pressure and them chasing the game.

The English press has jizzed all over up and coming teams and players before only for them to fall short. I wouldn't call this team World Class yet, there's a long way to go.

Anyway I'm coming across like a bitter Taffy!

Congrats on a great performance and result.

Agree re try, however, unpack that and we conceded a try when Cole was pinged for hinging when clearly Sio had rolled in. Swing n roundabouts.

Oh agree that things go up and down but things happened for England at the right time (not taking away England making them happen) as well as Australia shooting themselves in the foot with some decision making (again could well be due to pressure from England making them make bad decisions).

Didn't see that try you mention with Cole so will take your word for it.

Personally I have a blind spot for Cole-his technique is illegal from where I watch every time.

Like I say, great day all round for you Ruperts and well deserved win.

Can't argue with that side to be honest, we should let Ireland have their game though. Webb will be kicking on the door come next year if he continues the way he has been, very good today.

Baby Irish beating the Baby Blacks in Manchester, 28-19 with a difficult conversion to go, 70 mins gone. Good game, rains levelled them out somewhat and Blacks dropping the ball like its soap.

Amazing win for Ireland U20's - first time any Irish team has beaten the AB's to my knowledge.

Ireland winning 10 - 3 right now. Yellow for SA and potential yellow for Ireland with Standers hit on Lambie

    Oh crap - It's a red :(

Well, I'm interested to hear opinions on that. I didn't think it was intentional. Yellow maybe. Perhaps I'm just showing green bias :S
