I think the baffle will stay out, I like the fact that no-one can say they never heard me coming and it sounds not only louder but deeper and thumpier, will probably put in back in for the MOT though after all it takes seconds to do.

I got an advisory on the mot when I had a nonstandard can on my old Honda VFR. Some testers are fussier than others I guess. It did sound superb though, probably the best exhaust note on any bike I've owned.

Personally I'm not to keen on noise for its own sake.  What're you trying to prove ?  But a nice exhaust note is another thing. I'm going to put classic brit reverse cones on these new s/s headers

One more thing to make wankers notice you before they turn right across your bows without indicating can't hurt, in my view

As above, anything that might distract them from their mobiles and look at the road is a good thing surely

Objectively, it mostly makes people think bikers are wankers:  "I am noisy, therefore I am."

When I was a regular rider, Bike magazine would refer to pedestrians and car drivers as "vegetables". Particularly appropriate to the latter as they come in tins "Tinned life" was another expression.

Are such expressions in common use amongst riders these days?

Car drivers seem to be "cagers" these days. Moped riders are dismissed as "pedboyz". >:D<

Well... as it stands, it's ironic.

Also, I've been to a few biker type haunts, huge beefburgers and beer seem to be the only options... not a recipe for healthy donor organs... so doubly ironic 

I think vegan yoga instructors should be called "Organ Donors" as they'll have the best bits to donate

Dead right about biker caffs though.  Problem is you really cannot drink and ride, so it's water/juice or the caffeine drinks.  I'm as fond of pies as the next man, but would greatly appreciate a more upmarket/healthy choice.

You`re right though Fusionista, it doesn make driver think badly of us, but I`m happy to be considered a wanker as long as they see and hear me.

Safety is paramount as far as I am concerned, stopped me buying a black lid for example and because I want to be seen I bought a white one instead

I am on the beta testers list for that helmet. Not sure if I will get one soon or not though.
