I'm starting to feel like that. Bond movies for me are a bit like Eurovision - I love them and never miss one, even though a lot of them are really a bit rubbish. The Bond movie series is also something of a specialist subject for me at quiz nights (although not to Mastermind levels of detail).
But I'm starting to lose interest. Even though one or two of the Craig films have been very good, I think the fun element is being slowly eroded. Whoever they cast next, I have a feeling they'll be so far removed from the original stories, characters and style that they don't really need to be "James Bond 007" films any more.
I was thinking of the 2011 Tinker Tailor movie but with violence up to Bond levels.
OK. I didn't know that .. Halle Berry would have been good. Michelle Yeoh would also have been good. The idea makes more sense than turning James Bond into a woman.

Had they made Jinx they might have been getting plaudits for having made a film with a strong black woman in the title role; bet they are kicking themselves now.
There's a Wikipedia page on Jinx:
The character was very well received. After the film's release, Jinx proved so popular with fans and critics alike that MGM considered developing a spin-off focusing on the character which was scheduled for a November/December 2004 release. It was originally reported that MGM was keen to set up a separate franchise and to be a "Winter Olympics" alternative to James Bond; MGM had originally considered developing a spin-off film based on Michelle Yeoh's character, Wai Lin, in 1997's Tomorrow Never Dies. However, on October 26, 2003, Variety reported that MGM had "completely pulled the plug on this project", to the dismay of Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson of EON Productions, who were reported to be "clearly furious" about the decision. MGM was reported to have paused development of the film in favour of rebooting the James Bond film series with Casino Royale (2006).
Now that would have been good ....

Craig wanted out though .. he wasn't pushed. The made it worth his while to do one more. Hardy can probably manage three or four max.

He's a good actor and I value his work in few movies but not sure it's a Bond material... girls will pee their panties though...
It's not been confirmed by the James Bond production team yet but bookies are usually right if there's a sudden flurry of bets.

I never thought he was a very good actor (admittedly not really a requirement for the part) and I could never work out what it was that people found attractive about him. Obviously lots of people do, but compared to most "hunky" men he seems a bit meh to me.

I think he's rather one dimensional. Which sounds harsh, as he's played some quite diverse roles, but once you realise it's him you think "oh, it's Tom Hardy". It doesn't feel like he's conveying much about the character below the surface.
And he looks like a rugby player.
