"The Notebook" with Jim Garner being grumpy in a care home.

    Heart-breaking. Excellent stuff :)

Not a  film but miss d8m has persuaded me to watch Game of Thrones after a year of resisting.

Got to be honest its not as bad as I thought!

Get it all, and watch it all. Fabulous viewing.

Final got to see The Hobbit and the great big CGI battle of the five armies.

Ignoring any book/film issues it had some rubbish effects, bad dialogue and fair bit of "joey from friends smell the fart acting"

Did PJ loose interest by this point as it really could have been so much more than just watching a video game with a tiny sprinkling of characters and story.

    Penguins Of Madagascar.

Ok, it was for the kids, but a seriously funny film.

  • THX 1138, wanted to see this for years and it was the Directors Cut which I would imagine had some added CGI or touched up effects. Good film.

    As above, So Below

Quite creepy and a few good jump moments

    Straight on till Morning

Quite a sad film really, really felt for Rita Tushinghams Character(I know it's only a Film), quite disturbing and done in that way they knew how to in the 70's.

Am I the only one who thinks Rita Tushingham was quite gorgeous looking? Yet they cast her as an "Ugly Duckling" in that film. I thought she was lovely.

Mark Kermode, try and top those reviews!!!!!!!

    :-D

Bad Teacher, good fun, Cameron Diaz looked like she was having a blast with that role.

    The Purge.

The whole concept is utter nonsense,as is the film itself.

    "In Bruges".

Starring Colin "The fucking fucker's fucking fucked" Farrell. A bit of a fucking odd film, although the fucking scenery around the city of fucking Bruges was nice, and the fucking inclusion of a fucking dwarf was a fucking nice touch.

Could have done with a bit more fucking swearing, but apart from that fucker, it was pretty fucking good.

EDIT: if they ever make a fucking biopic about the life of Gordon fucking Ramsey, fucking Colin Farrell's sure to land the lead role.

Wake wood. A Hammer offering with Timothy Spall. I thought it was pretty good old fashioned horror.

    "Big Ass Spider"

It was as awful and yet as awesome as it sounds.

I’m so bored I might as well be listening to Pink Floyd

"Predestination". A time travel/paradox flick with Ethan Hawke and Sarah Snook.
Pretty good actually  .. if just a little bit warped.

    Definitely worth watching.

'A Royal Affair'. Set in 18th-century Denmark, a tale of an obscure country doctor who by a ludicrously improbable series of happenstances ends up more or less King, having also been shagging the Queen and fathering a royal princess into the bargain. As with all morality tales like this, the powers that be are not happy about this, things go wrong and he eventually gets his head chopped off, but it all ends happily ever after when the princess and her half-brother finally reach maturity and inherit the kingdom. Entertaining, with a tiny bit of sex and a lot of gritty Scandinavian acting, historical dirt and period atmosphere, but all a bit preposterous.

But as I found out when I looked it up on the net, based almost exactly on historical fact! :-O :D

    About 7/10 actually...
