(and not in a good way)
+1 on that. Awful film, even after forgiving the preposterous inconsistency in Keanu's character's ninja-like abilities.

Had no luck choosing movies on the flight. I watched Maze Runner afterwards. It's a sort of Lord of the Flies meets Lost plot, and with an awful "we'll explain it all and tie up loose ends in the sequel" ending.

Any other good ones to watch @d8m?

I've been looking for some good docs to get my teeth into.
I found the Indie Game one quite interesting.

Other than that Zeitgeist is worth a watch.

I tend to just go to the documentary line and randomly scroll though and choose without reading to much about what it's about.

Good way to find some gems :)

Cloudy with a chance of meatballs 2.

I liked the first one. This one is terrible.

I’m so bored I might as well be listening to Pink Floyd

I Give It A Year - watched it last night and found it very funny. Like a romcom in reverse. A decent British film without all the foppish Englishness that Yanks tend to love all the time...

Killer Legends, a sort of documentary - fact finding mission about the more bizarre mass murderers in the US over the years and their connection to horror movies, many of which were made after the crimes.  The best part is at the end where they look into the creepy clowns that preceded Stephen Kings "IT".

What We Do In The Shadows - If you liked Eagle Vs Shark or The Flight of the Concordes you'll probably like this. 9/10

It's hilarious but I don't know if it's better as a film, it would make a good series.
A sig-nat-eur? What am I meant to use this for ffs?! Is this thing recording?

Vice.. with Bruce Wills.. oh dear just absolute tat.
Willis is sleepwalking in the film, obviously this is just something to help pay the mortgage.
Wooden acting and story line with the worst aiming, machine-gun toting guards you ever saw.
    Pathetic really.

God, I was so bored zzzzzz

Jersey Boys, 2014 Valli/4 Seasons biopic. Fucking superb. Eastwood directed.

The Counsellor. Fucking hell, v good, v off kilter, watch it. Now.

Antichrist, off the wall. And quite sad. Guilt driven 'horror', Gainsbourg's minge out tho. However, DeFoe's knob too. Meh, canny if odd watch.

Import Export, had the promise of a good film and recommended by a highbrow friend. But the sex scenes are the strongest I've ever seen, literately like a porn film so had to turn it off, Seriously never seen anything like that !

Nil by mouth - quite an old picture by Gary Oldman - absolute must see, but it's very aggressive in its form. Ray Winstone goes mental in here.

    Home

Oh dear. It looked so promising in the trailer but I was beginning to wonder why I bothered after about five minutes, and it barely got any better. Just trying *way* too hard to be funny and cute, and a weak story with a ridiculously contrived 'meaningful' ending. Not wacky enough to be surreal and not serious enough to have any emotional impact.

And far too much Rihanna - not only does she provide the main character voice, she does just about every song on the soundtrack, and it's excessive. (And I like Rihanna.)

Even the kids were uncharacteristically quiet afterwards - they usually rave about how good a film was in the car on the way back even when it was just OK, but they hardly mentioned it.

    4/10

    American Sniper.
Story of Chris Kyle - US Sniper with most kills in US army history. Movie is full of American pathos and pride but really good movie. Story is amazing and (from what I've seen in documentary and read about him) factual. Good performance by Bradley Cooper who I didn't think that could handle that kind of character. Overall recommended.
