Watched Battleship on Film4 this week.

Terrible dialogue but I've got to say I really enjoyed it. Great 'brain off' fun.

"Walk the line". Always great. Joaquin Phoenix was great too.

I'm rather surprised that the Divergent people didn't get sued by the Hunger Games people. (and maybe the Battle Royale people)

I’m so bored I might as well be listening to Pink Floyd

Just finished Whiplash. One of the best films I've seen in ages. I really wish I got to see it at the cinema.

Wild Card with Jason Statham. Chosen randomly by mrs vegas.

Kind of like Leaving Las Vegas with violence rather than alcohol. Actually better than it sounds.

I have no need to watch it again but 8 butter knives to the throat out of 10

@Philly_Q.. Firefly is the BEST! It reminds me of that game "Starcraft" - in space with a Western theme.

What We Did On Our Holiday. Quite entertaining, but basically it's Outnumbered: The Movie. Ah, just googled it, and yes, it's created by the same people.
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it

    ABC of Death 2.

Interesting concept.Twenty six directors from all over the world are given a letter of the alphabet and then come up with a word beginning with that letter and then make a short film based around that word.

I did quite well.I got up P before turning it off.I challenge anyone to get any further.

@breakstuff  I saw it at a Halloween all-nighter last year.

Not only did watch all the way through from A-Z, I never once fell asleep - and I am notorious for falling asleep in the cinema, even early in the day.  I think the short-film format actually helped me stay alert.

The latest version of The Thing.

It was alright, but not a patch on the John Carpenter version.  Practical FX >>> CGI any day of the week.

One starts of slow and has a half beat ending.

    The other is about drumming.

    The Imitation game

Based on Turing's effort at Bletchley  to crack the Nazi Enigma code. Good film but a huge dose of artistic license for dramatic effect spoiled it a bit
Precisely my reaction too. The machine was Turing's design, but the Post Office engineers who made it were equally creditable.
Imagine something sharp and witty here ......
Wild.. with Reese Witherspoon.  Excellent, pretty deep and spiritual, about a women trying to lone hike the 1100 miles of the Pacific coast trail.
It wasn't bad, but nowhere near as good as "Into the Wild". I strongly recommend that if You liked "Wild".
Which has an awesome sound track too.
