We look a different team with Martinez and Verane in defence.

City will wake up in the 2nd half and likely score.  Just good to see us assertive with a good game plan, whatever happens in the 2nd half.

15 different centre-back pairing combinations for Utd this season apparently. Saliba and Gabriel were pretty much uninterrupted for us, chopping and changing partnerships never help.

Congrats to Utd, they fully deserved the win. Game was boring though.

Doku was an absolute menace.

Didn’t expect that though.  City not at the races today but we looked really up for it.

It does beg the question, injuries aside, why don’t we see this kind of performance week in week out from Man United?

A question for another day, pethaps.

To be fair to ETH, he got it all spot on today.  I hope he’s here at the start of next season.  I’m not sure more change is what we need.

Didn't Utd sack Dave Sexton after he won the cup?

City didn't really turn up, and spent too much time passing the ball across the outside of the penalty area. Just like watching Spurs.

I know Van Gaal was sacked 24 hours after he won it in 2016 (I think).

Seemed like a fair result, reflecting effort and chances on the day.

Couldn't shake the feeling that ManC were treating it as a gimme, whereas ManU decided to turn up and take it.

Hope we can buy him if still available - Thought the figure was around 8-12 mill - the issue is that he might not be required by Spurs, but a club in the bottom 10 might well take him - He is a good player but I'd love to keep him/buy him
