Game was so boring I'm resorting to doing other stuff whilst having it on in the background. No penetration or urgency. Subs made a difference but made far too late. Mainoo and Gordon should have started. And Palmer too.

Alot of work needed if they're going to advance past the last 16.

At least that game has shown him he needs to play Trent at right back, Mainoo in the centre, Gordon on the left and Palmer on the right. And that’s harsh on Foden who was our best player tonight, but ultimately we need to play round pegs in round holes and Bellingham has to start over Foden.

I was in 13th out of 110 in our prediction before todays matches, I reckon it will be tipsy turvy b6 now

Slovenia were annoyingly shite and we were even more annoying by not taking full advantage of their shiteness.

 I just hope we don’t place too much on the subs shoulders now, given that a few are now talking like we’ll be like Brazil 1970 squad if we start the likes of Palmer, Gordon and Mainoo.

You're exaggerating a bit. Not Brazil 1970.  Just better than the England of the last 2 games.

Southgate is actually playing a blinder. He has shit players who are propped up by overseas talent in the Premiership, so his only weapon is crushing negativity. 

If he allowed a bit of flair and ambition they'd be exactly where Scotland are  now, ie, home.
