I've always found Rolls and Bentleys to be cars that you buy for other people to drive you around it, making 2 door versions of them useless, why droop a few hundred £K on a car you're going to have to move the front seat forward to squeeze into the uncomfortable back seat of to be driven around in?
That's the whole point of the two-door cars: they were bought by people who wanted to drive themselves.

No - RR/Bentley created the coupe versions specifically for the rich who wanted to drive themselves. Some coupes cost considerably more than the saloons. Playboys had to pay more than the tycoons.

The RR Camargue (what you'd get if you crossed a Corniche coupe with Lady Penelope's FAB1) was significantly more expensive than any other RR at the time. That was a Pininfarina design like a poshed-up Fiat 130 coupe, posted earlier.

The coupes were coach-built, hence the extra cost - when you see the Corniche next to a Silver Shadow the difference in build quality is very evident.

I'm still trying to figure out, how treating spoons so brutally and violently, could possibly be seen as a symbol of peace.

A Gentleman is driven in a Rolls Royce but drives himself in a Bentley
    That was always the adage
Don't forget Bentley was very much a racing car in the Brookmans days of the 'blower' Bentleys

Plenty of room in the back, no need to move the seat unless you're portly - look at the body length of the things
Most would only ever need to seat two.

We used to drive the Cornetto down to Italy every summer. We had a charming villa on the coast at Viennetta.

That had issues with it's weight, it's too heavy, they had a lot of tires go pop because of it.  The guy who designed it designed quite a few famous cars, like the Monster's car, to name another of his designs.

This was the concept car it was built from, back in the day I dont think they really cared about things like weight, ot going around corners, or brakes and things.

Yes, you can easily see the Bat mobile in that, it actually doesn't look like much changes where made to the concept car.

Door fins and wheel arches were probably the biggst body mods, but cars like the bat mobile were never meant to be real cars, lots of bits of painted wood held together with tape and self tappers!

If we're going Thunderbird style, the near-useless Antarctic Snow Explorer must feature.
