Bloody love Spa - one of the few tracks that you really get a sense of speed in the tv feed

    I'm loving this.

  • Yeah, this is not panning out how I thought. When Max got a good start and first few laps I thought he was gonna just come steaming through the pack.

Also thought Lewis would be a sitting duck on the straights, as the Merc's straight line speed was crap in dry practice on Friday.

That was a race. Impressive that Russell managed to one stop on what was a relatively high deg course

I thought we’d cocked up. I was expecting them to tell him to let Lewis by!

The car was not fully drained according to the draining procedure submitted by the team in
their legality documents as TR Article 6.5.2 is fulfilled.

Deliberately leaving fuel in the car to hit the weight limit? Absolutely disgraceful. The whole team must lose all points for the weekend, nothing less.

    Those in glass houses!

The Brackley team has a history of cheating fuel levels, no? San Marino 2005. The team (then Honda)got a two-race ban then, why should this be any different?

    Outrageous.

It must be pretty easy to throwrocks when every pane in your house is broken…

Aren’t all cars weighed after qualifying?

    Outrageous.
aka it happened once 20 years ago.

If that's the kind of distorted logic we're using it creates  rich pickings for writing off a lot of teams errors as 'obviously deliberate cheating'

I think you don't realise how bizarre your anti-Mercedes tripwire seems to others man.
    Red ones are better.

That’s not the same team. That was BAR. Funny thing about that was every team on the grid had the same fuel cell setup. BAR were caught. Every other team changed their systems after this. I only know this as a colleague worked at the company that makes/made all the fuel cells. Not that it bothers me. I still worked at Jordan’s then. Well midland f1.

I'm sorry, it wasn't me who falsified the documents submitted to the FIA, it was Mercedes. They declared that all of the fuel was removed from the car when they knew it hadn't been. That's cheating.

For the record, I'm raging because George is my third favourite driver who drove arguably the greatest tyre-management race I've ever seen, and his team has just screwed him over.
