The auctioneer it still getting confused re dollars and sterling, seems a little unprofessional for an auction of this profile.
I read that she’s been practicing but she went wrong on lot 1. Shambles.

Looking through the Knopfler catalogue, outside of the BIA Les Paul, the Mandela Pensa Suhr and the two Schecter Teles, there aren’t really any particularly identifiable guitars.
    Wiz’d.

There’s still some nice stuff but the attraction is still only “previously owned by Mark Knopfler”.

    not even the '59 ?
He's keeping the good stuff that he still uses. This is just the chaff. He's not expected to tour again so no need for all of these.
At this rate the "chaff" is going to raise millions

I'm guessing they picked an american auctioneer as a tactical stroke to make the American Buyers feel "comfortable" and "at home" - since one would guess that's where most of the deep pockets will be for this stuff.

A fucking ovation just reached 100k. This is going to be a piss take when the handful of lots with more creditable ties to MK are auctioned.
