As someone who adores cats  I find this scene in Willard really harrowing

The War Game was banned from the BBC for many years, which scene freaked me out? All of them!

I saw this film in the 80's on T.V when I was about 14. I bought it recently, still not got around to watching it all again, but this scene cropped up in the old memory.

Definitely the weirdest and most unsettling thing I've seen, more so than any Gore, Ghost or Special Effects C.G.I.

The freaky bit is toward the end but it's best watched in it's entirety.

As a side note, I watched Britannia Hospital recently and found it to be the weakest of the 3 Mick Travis films, although it was a good film, IF and O Lucky Man are far superior.

    Don't have Nightmare's :-D

Wow brilliant, was it a pig man?  I just watched an apisode of Seinfeld where Kramer thinks he found a pig man in a hospital, wonder if they got the idea here. Ps Devon out of knight rider too
Speaking of pigs, I was quite disturbed to learn about the Chinese pig toilets recently, even though they're been around forever.....
I just looked them up :open_mouth:

Also anything to do with 'gutter oil' is quite disgusting, too, apologies for the digression.

That nurse scene in Exorcist 3 got me when I first saw it too...good shout!

  • The Nurse scene in Exorcist 3 is a belter.

Will never forget "when the wind blows" the cartoon. just depressing.

Loved the Grudge (actually for once, American remake) the CCTV scene.

First time I saw the Painting scene in The Conjuring 2 was brilliant.

I’ve not seen the war game but threads is pretty harrowing , I think most shocking is the descent of civilisation years after the bomb has dropped and small things like the loss of proper language

*That* scene from Crash (the Cronenberg film). If you've seen it, you'll know the one I mean.
My wife asked me to stop singing Wonderwall.

First horror I watched was American werewolf in London. Got the willies! I watched it again a couple of years ago and it was nothing like I remember. Not really scary but the scene where he "changes" is still pretty good.

    Anyone seen Audition?

The scene with the acupuncture needles will stay with me for a long time. Went to see it with my dad, we both needed a drink afterwards.

In recent times the librarian scene in Kill List is one that will make you wince.  https://youtu.be/0wCLKLpjfFI
Without context this clip is almost purely violence, but the film is pretty unsettling throughout.

There are quite a few freaky moments in Audition.

I'd now you've reminded me, thinking of Takashi Miike the scene which literally freaked me out the most was in Ichi the Killer, it sounds ridiculous but I actually blacked out and had a sort of fit in the cinema.

Most recently I was freaked out by the start of The Bad Batch.  Don't want to give anything away, other than the movie was a lot better than I expected.

The scene in Animal Kingdom where the very naive middle class girlfriend of the younger brother calls on him but he’s not there so ends up deciding to wait for him with his older brother (who’s a psycho) and he suggests they get high ... the way that scene plays out,  I was literally squirming in my seat.
