No mate, you're wrong.  I'm only in it for the Cram and Nuka.
I will be stocking up on this:

    As a Nuka Cola substitute...
Add Mentos, make your own Nuka Grenade.

    I haven't tried the first 3

I’m so bored I might as well be listening to Pink Floyd

Well you're kinda in luck then.  Fallout 3 is similar to Fallout:New Vegas.

1 and 2, I just can't find anything with an archaic enough OS; however, I believe they are an isometric view dealio.

There's Fallout Tactics, but that's a strategy, not RPG, so it's kinda not a Fallout game.

So the bottomline is, if you enjoyed New Vegas, you'll enjoy Fallout 3.

It's got Liam Neeson in it.

    And Malcolm McDowell.

Fuck me I'm stoked! Haven't turned my xbox on since my son was born 11 months ago but that might have to change!

    He'll understand one day xD

fallout 1 and 2 were free from...I think GoG.com or greenmangaming or whatever? They're cheap in any case optimised to run on modern sustems.

Anyway, 1 and 2 are brilliant if you can get past the clunky interface. theres enough customisation in them that if you play smart enough its possible to talk the final boss into committing suicide without ever firing a shot.

3 Is alright and is proper 3D but bethesda cant write as well as black Isle did and end up railroading the players story in a way the first 2 didnt. New Vegas is way better written since the Obsidean actually are descended from the original Black Isle team.

1 and 2 were amongst the best games ever written.

3 and new vegas are kind of like also rans next to deus ex human revolution and mass effect. Still good but not the landscape altering behemoths that the first 2 were.

Common factor in all of them is great art direction but I think Fallout 3+ was more of an incremental change than the others.

Farout! I loved FO3. I didn't dig Vegas in the same way but it was fun enough.

Same for me. The wife went away for a trip for a month so I had to take a month off to look after the kids, played it solid for about 5 hrs every day. Best use of a holiday without going anywhere ever!
Just watched the Fallout 4 trailer and to be honest I'm a bit meh about it.
    Nobody is guaranteed tomorrow.....
