Instead of a Friday night takeaway I’ve got a pork tenderloin on. Indirect on the Weber kettle with a sear

Hopefully this will make a nice kebab alternative

@chillidoggy yes I got that reaction. It’s just a bone in pork shoulder
    Ta.

Not sure why a pork shoulder is referred to as a 'butt' when it's clearly well away from the waste disposal end of the pig, but there you go.

  • Thinking about doing pulled pork at the weekend on the weber!

Anyone got a simple walkthrough guide?

Also do you guys by the shoulder with the bone in or boned and rolled?

  • @fretmeister sent me an amazing guide for pulled pork that goes into great detail on how to prep and cook. Feeling much more confident about it now! Will be cooking Monday so fingers crossed!

    Good luck with it.

I put it together for a charity cookbook a couple of years ago and it got in.

The amount of rub is makes is massive so feel free to make less - just reduce the amounts by the same percentage.

Does anyone use any of the online butchers for things like Beef ribs, brisket or sausages?

Well I’m hooked on this. I’ve cooked every day for the last week on either the WSM or the Kettle.

Even the basics of cooking burgers and sausages using indirect and direct heat makes such a difference. I feel like I’ve had a light bulb moment!
I bought a rotisserie unit last summer too!

I injected chickens with a mix of olive oil, garlic, and butter and they were amazing.
Oh do you have a link to the unit?
Half the price of the Weber one.
No longer at Amazon where I bought it - but still available elsewhere

Does that rotisserie fit into a weber 57cm kettle bbq ? I cant quite tell from the amazon link.  Its bonus time in work this month so I fancy some new shiny bbq gadgets

    Turner & George.

I don’t buy from anywhere else for brisket and beef ribs and marrow.

    Yum. Brisket!

Their BBQ boxes are great too - the bavette that comes with them is ace.

  • Got any recommendations for replacement grills for a 57 Weber? OEM stuff is bloody expensive!
Seen some on Amazon that are cheaper but not sure what the quality is like.

I’ve taken my brave pills and ordered a brisket to cook on Friday to eat on Saturday. It’s a whopper too, 14lb.

First time I’m trying one of these. To be done on the WSM.
