Should we get rid of Facepalms?

Not currently, but we accept that it would be a lot more useful if you could. I'm not sure the plugin we use at the moment will support that function so it may be a case of sticking with what we've got (subject to the changes already discussed) for now until the man behind the curtain can write a new plugin that does this but better(er).

Who did what and why is tracked and when I get a day free I will do some tweaks. 

This conversation suggests some people enjoy the feature so I'm going to keep it with a few suggested changes as I think it's easy enough to ignore if you don't want to be involved with it.

I dont really care about the facepalms either way but I crave that freaking agree/like button so if its an either/or decision i'd prefer the agree.

It required a lot of wisdom to create a forum like this It was actually a bit of a joke on my part, but I forgot to remove the badges when I undid it...mea culpa. Bit of a pain to get rid of the badges, so I kinda let them stand.

I've only banned spammers and LGM here, and LGM was by accident and someone fixed it for me and I've been very careful since.

I very much hope that we do not have to ban anyone who isn't a spambot.

Ironically, it was that incident which led to the realisation that we don't have to be careful 'cos this forum's got an undo button

I'm not bothered about facepalms but I tend to agree with BigPaulie - it would be nice to know what you got one for. I think the wisdoms are useful. They had a similar system on the Line 6 forums a few years ago and it was useful as you could see/reward the knowledgeable people who are happy to help and answer technical guitar-related issues.

What changes have been made?  I've had my posts anonymously edited without notice and now I don't what's going to happen.  I bet soon as soon as I give someone a LOL or a Wow! are they are going to get my credit card details?

I just noticed I got a facepalm for what I thought was a well reasoned post.  Disappointing.
