It's unbelievable. What does he swish at everything? Put your front leg in line with off stump, get your head over your bat and block, defend and leave the ones outside off until the new ball goes off.

He's a liability now, and what's with Root he's got more ducks than Hyde Park Serpentine lake.

Maybe we should make Roy captain. At least it couldn't make his batting worse.

Because that is the form of cricket he has played, one where you might have one or two slips early doors and against a white ball that doesn't do as much as this one. It's like taking a winger and asking him to play at tighthead prop.

I feel so embarrassed to be English right now. I thought that they days of cricket humiliation were behind us.

I was keeping a sneaky window on my work computer to keep check on the cricket whilst the ashes is on. Closed it. I don't need that kind of negativity in my life right now.
