Sleepy Hollow for Halloween ....  a slasher movie the kids can watch ...

Remember, it's easier to criticise than create!

Captain Phillips. Excellent stuff, doesn't feel like a two hour plus film, always a good sign :)
Was it filmed in "shaky-cam"? The trailer looked like it was to me. If so, I'll give it a miss.

there are ( according to radio 5, authenticated) stories of it making audience members sea sick.
Tipton is a small fishing village in the borough of Sandwell.

    Gravity, in IMAX 3D.

Worth the ticket price for Sandra Bullock's bum in lycra shorts (in 3D) ;)

As someone who went with me commented - it was like a theme park ride ........
Imagine something sharp and witty here ......

Byzantium. Really rather good. A vampire movie with a brain, plus Gemma Arterton spends much of the movie half naked. Which was nice.

I didn't really notice tbh so it can't have been that bad. It's certainly not in Blair Witch/ Cloverfield territory.

Human Centipede. Corny and not at all scary. Disappointingly bad actually and not in a so bad it's good way. :(

  • Thor 2  A good laugh I agree about Christopher Eccleston I don't think the hairstyle helped. Evil people living on a dark planet speaking in harsh guttural accents. Surely they do that all the time in (insert whatever Tyne or Tees city you dislike the most  )

World war Z. Very decent film in my opinion too.

And Taken 2. Everyone I spoke to said it's shit. I liked it.

I like Taken 2 exactly for what it is.

I'm looking forwards to taken 3, where everyone gets taken.

Surely Taken 3 will be a story about the daughter locking herself in her room, living a really dull life and realising that holidays are way more trouble than they are worth?  Meanwhile Neeson's character will be having a frank exchange of words with his Black Ops mates to ask why they are never there when he needs them and how often they fail to pick up the phone.  That dodgy French chief copper will continue to be a bit dodgy.

    Parkland (2013).

Found this hard to watch. A bit depressing. Almost looks like a documentary when Kennedy arrives at the hospital which gives the film it's title. Must be tough deciding what to do with a patient who has just a trace of a heartbeat but also has part of his head missing. And even harder when the Secret Service agents are refusing to leave the emergency room.

    The To Do List.

Pretty decent, set in the 90s and Aubrey Plaza decides she needs to do all the sex things before she starts collegee. I liked it for the 90s memories, holnrette didn't get most of them because she's too young...

World War Z - Don't know what all the moaning was about TBH. I thought it was pretty good.
same here,  I normaly hate "old style" zombie films,  perhaps thats why the traditionalists slated it so

we watched Epic the other week -  fantastic   :)
