  • Kickass 2 - enjoyed that one, the first one was good too.

Miami Vice - for what should be a popcorn film, I couldn't get into this at all. Seemed to move very quickly and not much of a plot. Turned off after half hour.

One flew over the cuckoos nest. What an utterly brilliant film. Hadn't seen it for years and I'd forgotten just how good it was. I'd also forgotten Christopher Lloyd and Danny DeVito were in it too!

    Saw GotG on Tues. 10/10

As a Parks and Recreation fan I'm sad about having to share Chris Pratt with normal people, but it's fantastic fun, Bradley Cooper's voice work is excellent and Lee Pace is unrecognisable. I might go watch it again, I don't often do that.

Another vote for Guardians Of The Galaxy.   The best Marvel film I've seen.  By a long way.

    Noah.

There are a number of things that are improved by the presence of Emma Watson. Unfortunately none of them are movies.

The difference in Chris Pratt's figure between Parks and Rec and GotG is quite astonishing. It's like Jack Black being Captain America. He must have a special condition that allows his entire body to get a boner when Karen Gillan is lurking behind the camera.

Loved it, very enjoyable. The throwaway line about the black light had me in tears.

    Dark City 7/10

A slightly odd ball Sci-Fi Crime Thriller Film Noir from the late nineties with a decent cast---Rufus Sewell, Kiefer Sutherland. Saw it when it first came out but this was the first time I'd seen it since then. Decent film, clearly had a fair bit of influence on other films since. Well worth a watch. For a film made in the late nineties without a massive budget the effects have aged really well, it still looks great.

  • Starship Troopers.

Solid film! Very visual, and loved the adverts (similar to his previous efforts in robocop).

Tomorrow I think I'll watch total recall or hollow man.

I have watched two films on my phone while traveling by coach today.

Rise of the planet of the apes 9/10. Nice surprise, definitely on the side of the apes. Annoying line from draco though.

Newest X-Men, 8/10. Even though it was a long film I think it needed more. I'd have liked a film set in the time of the sentinels and another where wolverine goes back.
